As part of the partnership between SMEDI, Shinon (India) and Apollo Hospitals (India), a delegation whose members were chosen by SMEDI was invited to a working and networking visit to the proton therapy center in Chennai, India ( See previous post).
The SMEDI delegation was greeted by the founder and leader of Apollo Hospitals the famous Dr. Prathap C. Reddy
Prathap C. Reddy is a leading personality in India particularly in the field of health.
He was ranked the 48th most powerful personality in India by India Today magazine.
He is notably the founder of the famous « Apollo Hospitals », the most important and the oldest Indian care structure, he is also the founder of the Proton therapy center in India.
Apollo hospitals represents 10,000 hospital beds in India and other countries, and has the only proton therapy center in South Asia.
This eminent Indian entrepreneur and cardiologist, was born on February 5, 1933 in Aragonda in the district of Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh.
